Activity During WWII

Inducted July 1941. Pacific Theater of Operations, October 1941. Pearl Harbor survivor. Defense construction, barracks, roads, railroads, signal towers, gun emplacements. Transferred to Air Corps. Involved with control tower, radio range, homing and direction finding, air to ground and point to point radio communications. Served in these Island groups: Hawaii, Phoenix line, Gilbert, Marshall and Mariana. 4 years in Pacific Theater of Operations; awarded three Battle Stars. Discharged October 1945. Received a letter of commendation from the Commanding Officer through Commanding General, a few months later.
