SERVED IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC WITH THE 41ST INFANTRY DIVISION, CO. B, 163RD REGIMENT AND THE 123RD ENGINEERING AND SURVEY BATTALION DURING THE JAPANESE OCCUPATION. AWARDED A PURPLE HEART, GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, WWII VICTORY RIBBON, PHILIPPINE LIBERATION MEDAL, 2 BRONZE BATTLE STARS AND THE ARMY OF OCCUPATION MEDAL. INDUCTED SEPTEMBER 25, 1944 AND DISCHARGED ON SEPTEMBER 25, 1946.
