Activity During WWII

Combat Engineer. Fort Ord, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Camp Bowie, Texas. Landing craft training, Massachusetts. Sailed to North Ireland and to North Africa landing Contra Task Force. Stevedore there 28 months, then Combat Engineer through Italy, France and Germany, end of war in Europe. Took part in the crossing of the Rhine and the Battle of the Bulge. Flew from Marsailles, Casablanca, Dakar, Africa, Natal, Brazil, Miami, Florida. Separation Center, Fort Bliss, Texas then home to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
