Activity During WWII

February 3, 1943 to November 3, 1945. Trained in 86th Division, Black Hawks, Camp Howze, Texas. Transferred to 88th Division. Landed Casablanca, Africa, December 25, 1943 on to Oran, Algiers for 1 month and then to Naples, Italy. Fought 3 Campaigns; Rome-Arno, Northern Apennines and Po Valley. Was wounded April 22, 1945 in Po Valley near Po River. Received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
