P-51 Fighter Pilot. 67 missions in the European Theatre over Germany and was part of the D-Day Invasion, flying low cover over the invasion of the Normandy Beaches. First flew P-38 lightnings, then P-51 Mustangs with the 364th Fighter Group, 383rd Fighter Squadron. Stationed at Honington Air Base, East Anglia, England.
