Activity During WWII

Served in the 5th Army, 88th Division, 351st Infantry, I-Company, 3rd Battalion (BLUE DEVILS) under General Mark Clark. Served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy which included the Liberation of Rome. Fought in the battles of Monte Cassino, Anzio and Santa Maria Infante where he was wounded on May 12th, 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He returned to action and continued to fight in the Italian campaign up the Po Valley to the end of the war. He received a Honorable Discharge.
