Served with Patton's army, 3638th Quartermaster Truck Company. Arrived in Europe 10/19/43. Served in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Germany. Discharged 12/14/45. It took 16 days to arrive stateside, rough ship travel home then. Received the European theatre ribbon, WWII victory medal with 4 Bronze Battle Stars. He has told stories of driving the soldiers during the blackouts through wartime territory. We are very proud of our father. Today he is a healthy 78 year old retired Labor Union Official.
