Entered army, November 1942. Left for induction in Pennsylvania then 13 weeks of basic training at Camp Wheeler, Georgia. He was shipped overseas, April 1943. 1st stop was Africa, then Sicily, Italy and last stop was France. At first he was a driver in the Quartermasters Trucking company and later as Dispatcher. He received 4 Battle Stars and a Spearhead for the battle of France. It was almost 29 months that he had been overseas, leaving for home from Marseilles, France, November 1945.
