Activity During WWII

Was attached to Squad 922, Flight C. After basic training at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey, left for overseas on January 14, 1943. In Tunisia, Africa, was assigned to the 12th Army Air Forces. On reaching Italy, his outfit flew missions, dropping supplies to Tito's men in Yugoslavia and to the underground in France. After the Italian invasion, his unit in the Army Air Forces returned to Northern Italy to drop additional supplies to the American Fifth Army.
