Activity During WWII

Member of 32nd Field Artillery Unit of the 1st U.S. Infantry Division. In his four years of active duty, he fought in all the Allies' major campaigns in the Western theater: Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, Northern France, Belgium, Ardennes, the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was part of the African drive at El Guettar, the D-Day Landing, the Battle of the Bulge at Aachen, the capture of Boon and the Allies crossing of the Rhine River over the Remagen Bridge.
