Activity During WWII

Served in combat with the 7th Army, 100th Division, 397th Regiment, 2nd Battalion from August 1944 to end of the war. Saw extensive combat in France, Low Countries and Germany. Was awarded the Bronze Star with V for Valor and the Purple Heart. Was recommended for the Silver Star for actions in Battle of Bitche, France. After Victory in Europe was transferred to the Pacific Theater for the invasion of Japan.
