Activity During WWII

Served with the 99th Infantry. Entered war just before the Battle of the Bulge. Was placed in service precisely at the spot where the German break out occurred. Position was over run and he was shot and ultimately taken prisoner. Escaped from captivity twice and was re-captured twice. Was ultimately liberated by his own unit at the end of the war.
