My father served in the Navy during WWII, on the USS Pelias, a ship which outfitted and repaired submarines. He served throughout the Pacific, but was most notably stationed at Pearl Harbor and was present at the time of the Japanese sneak attack. Survived, to come home and father, and help raise a beautiful family.
