Activity During WWII

Served 5 years in South Pacific as a staff officer. Present at bombing of Pearl Harbor. He was originally a Sergeant in the Air Force Supply and had been in Hawaii (Fort Shafter) for about a year prior to the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941. He survived and a few months later was sent to the states to Officers Candidate School (OCS) and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Corps. He was sent back to Hawaii.
