Having served in World War I, my dad was overage for WWII. He worked the entire war in home front industry: Construction Superintendent for Army Corps of Engineers on many bases, including Bell Bomber Plant (Now Lockheed) in Marietta, Georgia and superintendent of construction for the Oak Ridge nuclear works.
