MOVED TO LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA IN 1942, WHERE SHE WORKED AT DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT COMPANY BUILDING ENGINE COWLINGS FOR C-47 TRANSPORT PLANES. AFTER HER MARRIAGE IN 1944 SHE RETURNED TO IDAHO, WHERE SHE WORKED AT GOWAN FIELD IN BOISE, WITH THE BOISE ORDNANCE COMMAND SHOP, CIVILIANS SUPPORTING THE MILITARY.
