Activity During WWII

Medical Corps. 1st battalion Surgeon, 274th Infantry, part of Task Force Herren and the 70th Infantry Division. Unit fought in Vosges Mountains in Alsace-Lorraine, bearing the brunt of the pincher maneuver of the Ardennes Offensive. This helped break up the final German offensive, Nordwind. Captured Saarbrucken and reached Mainz and Rhine.
