Ball Turret Gunner on B-24 Liberator, stationed near Venosa, Italy. Bombed Floridsdorf Oil Refineries near Vienna from 3/12/45 - 3/15/45 Sankt Polten, Austria railroads 3/19/45. Nuremberg, Germany Airdrome on 3/21/45. Vienna railroads on 3/22/45, Nuremberg Airdrome on 3/24/45. Continued to bomb railroads and bridges until 4/24/45. Flew 'Life' Liberator on 4/8/45 on its 101st mission to Italy for railroad strike. 15th Air Force, 485th Bomb Group, 830th Squadron.
