ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE ON OCTOBER 21, 1942. SEPARATED NOVEMBER 9, 1945. SERVED WITH THE 21ST INFANTRY IN HAWAII, AUSTRALIA, NEW GUINEA AND THE SOUTHERN PHILIPPINES. LAST ASSIGNMENT WAS WITH THE 3RD CAMP BATTALION AS NON-COMMISSIONED SUPPLY OFFICER. AWARDED ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER RIBBON WITH TWO BATTLE STARS AND BRONZE MEDAL FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE AT BREAKNECK RIDGE, LEYTE ISLAND, PHILIPPINES. ALSO AWARDED VICTORY MEDAL AND GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL.
