Battery Commander and Liaison Officer with the 343rd Field Artillery Battalion, 90th Infantry Division. Participated in Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland Campaigns. Awarded the purple Heart for Wounds Received in February 1945. Returned to the 88th Infantry Division in Italy in 1946 and Continued A 36 year Military Career, Retiring in 1978 as a Major General.
