ATTENDED ARMAMENT SCHOOL AT LOREY FIELD, DENVER, COLORADO AND GUNNERY SCHOOL TRAINING ON B-17 BOMBER IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA. AFTER COMPLETING GUNNERY SCHOOL PROMOTED TO CORPORAL. RECEIVED GUNNERY WINGS. SENT TO CHILDRESS TEXAS AIR FORCE BASE; SELMAN FIELD, U.S. ARMY AIR FORCE BASE IN LOUISIANA AND THEN TO CAMP SHANKS ARMY BASE, PORT OF EMBARKATION. BOARDED USS GENERAL ANDERSON, DESTINATION LE HAVRE, FRANCE. SPENT 6 DAYS ON BOX CARS. ATTACHED TO 584TH BOMBARDMENT SQUADRON, 9TH AIR FORCE, 394TH BOMBARDMENT GROUP. FLEW ON A-26 AIRCRAFT. ARMY OF OCCUPATION. LEFT GERMANY, WENT TO LE HAVRE, FRANCE AND BOARDED THE MARITIME VICTORY SHIP. WENT TO CAMP KILMER, NEW JERSEY THEN TO FORT DIX, NEW JERSEY FOR SEPARATION ON JULY 1, 1946.
