Served in the South Pacific. He was one of the first trained radar technicians in the war. Injured April 8, 1945 from shrapnel from a bomb on Samar in the Philippine Islands. He was with the 13th Air Force 5th Bombardment (H), 23rd squadron. He worked mainly on B-24 aircraft.
