Activity During WWII

Member of Air Force in South Pacific for 3 years, was first a cryptographer, then a clerk, and ultimately, head of the information staff responsible for communications. Were an advanced echelon that moved 6 locations in 7 months from New Guinea, Dobadura, Cape Gloucester, Nadzap, Biak and Owi Islands. Pilots were first to destroy 200 Japanese planes in flight.
