Flight Leader of a B-24 Bomb Squadron, 8th Air Force, shot down after 17 missions on a bombing mission of the Belgian Coast, preparatory to June 6, 1944. He was hit by 'flack' on the port side and crashed into the English Channel on May 28, 1944.
