Activity During WWII

HE SERVED in the U.S. Army from January 1942 to November 1945. He was a Military policeman at Bradley Field, Hartford, CONNECTICUT. In December, 1944, he was stationed as part of the U.S. Army Air Forces, 20th AIR FORCE, 73rd Bombardment Wing, 497th Bombardment Group (Heavy) in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, loading bombs onto B-29 SuperFortress bombers until after the end of the war. He reached the rank of SERGEANT, and was a recipient of the U.S. Army Presidential Unit Citation, plus four other awards.
