Decorations and citations: European-African-Middle Eastern theater ribbon with clasp, 5 bronze stars, Good Conduct ribbon, Headquarters Company, 467th Quartermaster Group; WWII victory medal, French medal for liberating France, Jubilee Liberty medal, Combat Infantryman badge. He was in the 103rd Infantry Division, transferred to the 45th Infantry Division. Served in chemical warfare service.
