Activity During WWII

Served in Pacific Theatre. Assigned USS Medusa AR-1. Based at Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941. On Liberty at Honolulu when they were attacked, he reported to the receiving station, was taken to fight fire on the USS Cassin and USS Downes which sat in front of the USS Pennsylvania. Later assigned to tanker SS Kaloli, carried gas to islands and specifically Midway, first tanker to arrive after battle of Midway. Next assignment Naval Boat Yard, then USS Troilus AKA-46. Discharged September 22, 1945. Received Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon, WWII Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Pearl Harbor Survivor Medal, Battle Stars for Midway and Pearl Harbor.
