He was a bombardier and one of the James Bullis B-24 bomber crew stationed in Guam. Flew pre-invasion raids over Iwo Jima and some bypassed Islands. Did some sea search for a lost-at-sea 4-star general prior to the invasion of Okinawa, ending up as Hawaiian defense. Crew disbanded Christmas in 1945 with all crew members intact.
