MILITARY SPECIALTY REQUIRED HE LAND WITH THE FIRST WAVE OF THE INVASION AND ESTABLISH STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR COMMANDERS TO DIRECT THE MAIN LANDING FORCE TO FOLLOW. 5 MAJOR BEACHHEAD LANDINGS INCLUDING AFRICA, SICILY, SALERNO AND UTAH BEACH AT NORMANDY. PERSONAL OBSERVATION AND DIRECT INTERVENTION WITH FIRE CONTROL UNITS RESULTED IN DESTRUCTION OF ENEMY TANK COLUMNS AND VARIOUS ENEMY UNITS ON OCCASIONS WHEN HIS DISPATCHES WENT UNHEEDED.
