Activity During WWII

Worked in a defense factory checking bearings, some of which were used in the Norton Bomb Sight, eight hours a day. Then went to Mt. Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Ohio., as a Red Cross Nurses' Aide to attend the sick. At one time the American Red Cross recognized her for having volunteered the most hours in the U.S. as a Red Cross Volunteer Nurses' Aide.
