Made many landings in the Philippines. Proudly served his country from 1941-1945. 1940, Plank owner, USS Harry Lee. 1941-1942, two trips to Iceland. 1942-1945, Member of 3rd Beach Battalion. 1943, Made landings on Makin Island, Marshall Islands. 1944, Saipan, Leyte and Luzon. Lingayen Gulf, 1945, Okinawa. Returned to San Francisco, April 1945. Discharged September 10, 1945.
