Activity During WWII

Member of 1st Air Commandos in Burma, flew L-1 Stinson 'Sentinel' and L-5 aircraft, mostly ferrying wounded out of battle zones. Was rescued by Carter Harman in a YR-4 Helicopter in 1944. It was the first helicopter combat rescue.
