Activity During WWII

In May 1941, went to work at age 16 at Camp Blanding, Florida as assistant to director of National Youth Administration. First 18 year old on civil service in 3rd Army area, when age limit was lowered. Worked as Senior Stenographer, first in Public Information Office, then in the S-2 Office, Security and Intelligence Division. Stayed at Camp Blanding until WWII ended and the camp was in the process of closing.
