Was a volunteer at the age of 21. He trained at Fort Bliss, Texas. Went overseas and served with Patton's Army. They freed people in Buchenwald prison camp. He was Chief of Police in Coburg, Germany. He never left the Army. Received a Citation in communications for the space program in Florida. He retired when he became ill in Bethesda, Maryland. Died of cancer and left a wife, 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
