ASSIGNED TO THE VH-5 HOSPITAL SQUADRON IN THE CENTRAL PACIFIC. AIRMAN SERVED AS A FLIGHT ENGINEER ON PBM SEAPLANE, FLYING RESCUE MISSIONS FROM THE KWAJALEIN ATOLL, MAJURO AND ENIWETOK ISLANDS.
