After Boot Camp, I was sent to Norfolk, Virginia to wait for my ship, The USS Biloxi Ll-80, which was commissioned August 31, 1943. After her shakedown, we went to the Pacific Ocean, November 1943, and went from The Marshall Islands, until the end of World War II.
