Served in 96th Infantry Division in Pacific. In first invasion of Philippines, I was in 383 Regiment, 2nd Battalion Headquarters Company Communication. I was a wire man. I was in invasion of Okinawa and was on front line 67 days. I was one of the lucky ones! I never did received an injury.
