Activity During WWII

As a young husband and father in 1941, my dad had registered, had his physical and was waiting to be called up. Then he lost his left arm in an automobile accident. During the war he worked as a civilian employee of the Army map service. He did detail work on maps like the location of war plants, churches, schools and river sand bars on maps used in the war effort.
