SERVED IN UNDERWATER DEMOLITION SCOUTS AND RAIDERS, NAVY INTELLIGENCE AND GUERILLA WARFARE, SINO-AMERICAN COOPERATIVE ORGANIZATION, OPERATING BEHIND JAPANESE LINES REPORTING TROOP MOVEMENTS IN INDIA AND CHINA UNDER THE COMMAND OF ADMIRAL MILTON E. MILES AND GENERALISSIMO CHIANG KAI-SHEK FOR THE INVASION OF INDIA AND CHINA. RECEIVED THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN RIBBON WITH 1 BATTLE STAR. ALSO RECEIVED THE CHINA SERVICE MEDAL, AMERICAN THEATER RIBBON AND MEDAL, WWII VICTORY MEDAL AND THE NAVY GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL.
