Activity During WWII

Radio operator with the 40th Bombardment Group, Very Heavy. Served 4 years in the Caribbean Theater and the Asiatic-Pacific Theater including China, India and the Marshall Islands. Was on Tinian when the first atomic bomb was dropped on Japan. Awarded the Caribbean ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific ribbon, Distinguished Unit Citation and the Good Conduct ribbon.
