He was in the Infantry Placement Training Center in Fort McClellan, Alabama. Served in the 42nd Division and then went overseas. In Italy he was in the 9012st Infantry Battalion. Received European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with 1 battle star, WWII Victory Medal, Meritorious Service Medal.
