Coastal Artillery Battalion, Battery A, 441st Coast Artillery Battalion Anti-Aircraft. Honorably discharged August 1945. During the period of December until May 1945 his unit was awarded Meritorious Service Unit Badge for the evacuation of a hospital. Served in the Battle of Anzio.
