Martin B-26 pilot. 397th Bomb Group of the 597th Bomb Squadron, 9th Air Force. Squadron leader, 36 planes. POW shot down March 13, 1945 bombing Frankfurt Airport. Only crew to hit target with plane badly shot up, on one Engine and on fire, that lived. Had trained B-26 pilots for 29 months before going Overseas.
