Member of Cadet Nurse Corps. Was a Cadet Nurse at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. The Corps was initiated to help civilian hospitals to remain open while the graduate nurses went to war. We worked long hours and shouldered great responsibility, our tuition and books were paid for by the Government, we received a small state pension.
