Enlisted in U.S. Air Force stationed at Brooks Field, San Antonio. Did maintenance work on airplanes, perfecting the landing gear. Sent to Officers Candidate School at Camp Davis, North Carolina. Graduated as 2nd Lieutenant from Anti-Aircraft Artillery School. Killed, March 26, 1945 along the Rhine River by German Mortar Fire while stringing Communication lines for the Signal Corps.
