SERVED IN THE EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS WITH COMPANY M, 119TH INFANTRY, 30TH DIVISION. ALSO SERVED AS A FORWARD OBSERVER FOR 81-MM MORTAR PLATOON, HEAVY WEAPONS, COMPANY M. RECIPIENT OF THE SILVER STAR, BRONZE STAR, PURPLE HEART, FRENCH CROIX DE GUERRE, THEATRE RIBBONS AND SIX CAMPAIGN MEDALS AND RIBBONS, ARROWHEAD. SUSTAINED MINOR WOUNDS FROM AN AIR ARTILLERY EXPLOSION IN JULY 1944 AT THE BATTLE OF ST. LO AT THE AGE OF 22. SERVED FROM SEPTEMBER OF 1942 TO NOVEMBER OF 1945.
