He enlisted December 10, 1940, and was discharge on October 11, 1945, Jefferson Barracks. Served with the 140th Infantry. He was in National Guard and was mobilized. He was shot in shoulder and lost muscle in his back and down to spine, left as dead, but later found. Received Purple Heart and lots of ribbons.
