Registered men for draft, including my own father, while high school student. Registered families for ration coupons also. Worked as Stenographer for U.S. Mari-Time Commission, summer between 11th and 12th grades, 1942. Answered urgent call for telephone operators, worked evenings in 1942-1943 and weekends while senior in high school.
