He was In the 922nd Engineer Aviation regiment in Omaha Beach on D-Day. In the Battle of the Bulge and Rhine. Getting on a plane to be trained as a pilot when he was pulled off and sent to England to prepare for the Normandy Invasion. Served is country from 1942-1945. He received the Good Conduct Medal, European Theatre Ribbon, Occupational Medal, Purple Heart and 3 Battle Stars. His outfit built Runways.
