SERVED FROM 1944-1946. TRAINED AT CAMP WHEELER IN GEORGIA, FORT MEAD IN MARYLAND AND CAMP STONEMAN IN CALIFORNIA. SERVED IN THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS ON LUZON IN THE PHILIPPINES AND JAPAN, WHERE HE WAS A CLERK TYPIST IN THE PERSONNEL OFFICE OF COMPANY B, 800TH MILITARY POLICE BATTALION. EARNED THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC SERVICE RIBBON, THE PHILIPPINE LIBERATION RIBBON, THE ARMY OF OCCUPATION MEDAL, THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL AND THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL.
